Honored to Receive Media Award

So so so honored to receive the Media Award from Reena at their general assembly. @Reenafoundation is a really important non profit which promotes dignity, individuality, independence, personal growth and community inclusion for people with developmental disabilities. This organization has been absolutely wonderful to work with and I am so honored to be shown such a heart warming appreciation for the video work I've done for them. Support them at www.Reena.org

Thanks for the photo @helloinspira!!

Corporate Event Video

My friends over at Wysp Creative needed a hand producing a corporate event video for the Tarion Awards. I had a great time rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in Toronto Real Estate as they received their awards at the Westin Prince Hotel.

Amici Canoe Heads

The wonderful Amici Canoe Heads just passed and I was reminiscing about last year's event. This awesome charity fundraiser has volunteers portaging canoes all along the Toronto Harbourfront. It was super fun to film the canoes bobbing up and down our concrete city with our expansive lake Ontario framing the side and the CN tower gracing the horizon line behind. Mayor John Tory came out to wish everyone well and despite the crazy rainy weather everyone had a great time.
I'm so happy to have had a chance to film a promo spot for the event. It's always rewarding to make commercial content for such great charities.

Back Log Blogging

I've always meant to have an updated blog on this website but had trouble finding the time. 2016 is the year! In between real-time posts I want to blog about some of my older work as I upload the videos onto youtube.

Anna and Peter... so many things to say!
This was one of the first weddings that I ever filmed as a company and one of my first Polish weddings in Toronto.
These two were great! Just great! Relaxed, welcoming, happy, and very much in love.

One of the things that I loved about their approach (in addition to Anna's beautiful lace shrug that she wore for their  catholic ceremony) was how much the wedding was geared towards celebrating their family and friends and having a great time. They also were so happy and beautiful just being themselves. Whenever a couple is as relaxed as they were it makes it so much easier to catch those awesome candid moments on camera.

So happy they took a chance on me and let me share their day with them!

Reena Corporate Commercial

I had the privilege of making another commercial for the Reena Foundation. This time I was asked to help them spread the word about their Developmental Disabilities Counsellor program.
I love working with this company, it's rewarding and all of the staff are a pleasure.
It was nice to once again working in my home city of Toronto to make a video advertisement for a great organization.

Zara's First Birthday

I had such a great time making this video for Zara's family.
First of all, I absolutely love shooting South Asian events. Amazing music, everyone dances, the food is always fantastic and the decor is full of colour and pattern.
This was no exception.

The family was also so wonderful to work with. Really kind considerate people, full of love and joy for their little daughter.

With a Trump Tower location, a professional Henna artist, a live DJ, stunning decor and delicious Oliver and Bonacini catering... it's very hard to imagine how her parent's will top this soiree.

Thanks for having me!

Here's to a great 2016 season

I had a wonderful year in 2015 meeting lots of fantastic new people and getting a chance to work with a variety of awesome clients on events, weddings and commercials.
Thank you to everyone that made 2015 so much fun. I've decided to start re-posting in my blog and feature some of the work that doesn't make it onto the main pages of my website.
This here, is the begining.

Brooklyn. Loud, dirty, busy, expensive, but so very alive.
It's amazing to be in a city, pulsing with energy, vibrating with the now.

I was so consumed with taking in the city, I barely pulled out my camera. Here are a few shots I did manage to grab.

Williamsburg Bridge

Got the chance to see Soko at her Birthday show at the Body Actualized Center.

Bravo Factual Short Doc Submission

I submitted an application for Bravo Factual's Short Documentary fund. They still haven't announced the recipients so I thought I'd share the teaser I made for the pitch.
It's called The Essence of Dance and features a really amazing Toronto based dance company called Conteur.

If you're curious, here's the video.

Engagement Amazement

Just had the wonderful opportunity to attend the engagement party of one of my best friends.
She organized a very funky Engagement Brunch at Hudson Kitchen on Toronto's Dundas West strip. This gal is the brains behind the very cool company The Curated Social and has organized various cool events around the city so she is no stranger to planning a good party.
She surprised her fiance and everyone else in attendance with an awesome brass and percussion band called DRUMHAND. I managed to grab some shots with my camera,  here's a snippet. Photo and maybe more video to come...
